We begin the month with a powerful Full Moon in Scorpio on the first, setting the tone for the first half of this month. All Full Moons represent power struggles, but none so in tense as Scorpio and Taurus. Scorpio combines its resources with others and Taurus wants self reliance and possession. Both signs seek resources for survival, translation, money.
This becomes more intense as this Full Moon makes a hard aspect to Pluto, which rules Scorpio. Scorpio seeks transformation and letting go while Taurus holds on stubbornly. It’s not surprising that the UAE just split from OPEC, changing the entire structure of the oil conglomerate in the Middle East.
With Mercury joining the Sun in the first week, it’s time to have a conversation and look for where you need changes in your own resources and the dependencies and control others may have over you or vice versa. Look at your values and how they compare with the values of the other person. It may be time to let go of things that are no longer of value to you. With Mars and Jupiter making an aspect at this time, it might be wise to engage outside legal counsel.
The second half of the month gives us a New Moon in Taurus. New Moons are beginnings and starting anew. Since Mercury enters Gemini the next day, the energy shifts to new ideas and the conversations get lively. It’s time to think outside the box as they all join up with Uranus in Gemini. On the 19th Mars finally leaves Aries and enters Taurus. Venus moves into Cancer at the same time. Focus on security and safety issues around others who need to depend on you. The Sun moves into Gemini on the 20th and joins up with Mercury and Uranus. Since it makes a favorable aspect to Pluto, this is a great time to take some risks and break from conventional thinking.
